Grand Canyon / Havasu Falls   April 2004

    Sunday April 4, 2004 - Red Rocks State Park outside Sedona and Grand Canyon Caverns Motel

    We left Scottsdale in the morning and drove to Red Rocks State Park outside Sedona. From there we took a short day hike.

    Where possible in the trip, I carried a GPS and transferred the tracks to a topo map using software by National Geographic.

    Here is the map of our hike according to the GPS:

    Here is a group picture at the high point of the hike (only Dave is missing, being down at the campsite setting up tents under waterfalls....):

    Before we started out, the park rangers pointed out to me an Owl Nest

    I suppose this pict justified the heavy lens and tripod

    After our hike, we drove closer to the canyon and were transported back to the 1950's
