On Friday we had to leave this paradise (other than
the porta potties of course) and return to the real world.
Marina, Diane and Katie choose to ride out, and the rest
of us except Brian hiked out. I made sure that Brian gave Dave the keys
to the trailer and van!!!
Brian stayed behind to prepare for the next group coming
in.
The hike out ranged from under 4 hours for Rachel to 5 hours for myself. I put as much stuff as I could in the duffles for the mules, including my camera and hiked with two hiking sticks, trying to set a steady pace. I was worried about my right knee as the day before it was hurting pretty bad. I had lots of imaginary pains for the hike out, but no real injuries.
