Day 1 - Geneva to Chamonix

Upon arriving by taxi at the Geneva airport, we quickly found our way to where we were to assemble. Marie met us at Noon, and took us out to a bus which took us to Chamonix. We checked into the hotel and then walked around the town for a light lunch, photos. Dinner was at the hotel as we got to know each other. We also met our other guides, Celene who basically stayed with us as we were the slow hikers and Karen who took care of moving luggage each day from the lobby of where we stayed the previous night to the rooms of where we would stay the next night. She also shopped each day for our lunches. Each morning the guides put out a buffet from which we would make our lunches and pack them with us on our hikes.
