Around Summit County

Summit County, Colorado is an amazing place to live or to visit.  There are mountains, for hiking or horseback riding in the summer and places for skiing in the winter.  The wild flowers are amazing in their colors and varieties.  There are fall colors, and lakes and streams that make for great photo-opportunities year around.  And there are dark skies that are frequently clear enough for Astrophotography of comets, galaxies, and nebulae.  

The photos to the right show a view of the Gore Range (soon to be renamed something else) taken from Acorn Creek, one of our favorite drive-to hikes, purple columbines, Colorado’s state flower, and Comet Neowise, taken from our driveway.
